We are seeking highly capable and proactive EVI Project Manager to play a critical role in delivering the Trust’s Efficiency, Value and Improvement (EVI) Programme and supporting the successful delivery of our £20m savings plan. This is a demanding and high‑impact role, operating at the centre of a complex, Trust‑wide portfolio of transformation and efficiency activity. The postholder will work across clinical, corporate and operational services, supporting senior leaders to turn strategic intent into sustainable delivery.
The EVI Programme is central to the Trust’s medium‑and‑long‑term strategy, enabling high‑quality care while maintaining financial sustainability in an increasingly challenging environment. As an EVI Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supporting delivery across a portfolio of high‑value schemes, many of which are complex, interdependent and time‑critical. You will be expected to operate proactively — anticipating risk, driving pace, and enabling leaders to make informed decisions — while maintaining grip on governance, benefits realisation and delivery confidence.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage complex EVI projects from initiation through to delivery and transition to business as usual, ensuring benefits are clearly defined, tracked and realised.
- Work closely with Triumvirate leaders and Corporate Directors to provide visible leadership, challenge constructively, and maintain momentum across competing priorities.
- Apply strong analytical skills to understand financial, operational and performance data, identifying risks, opportunities and corrective actions early.
- Support the delivery of material efficiency savings, including high‑value and recurrent schemes that are critical to the Trust achieving its £20m savings plan.
- Ensure projects align to Trust strategy, comply with EVI governance and assurance processes, and maintain appropriate quality, workforce and safety oversight.
- Navigate complexity with confidence, managing dependencies across multiple workstreams and stakeholders in a matrix environment.
- Is highly proactive, resilient and comfortable working in ambiguity and complexity.
- Brings credible project leadership experience, ideally within large, complex organisations.
- Has strong analytical capability and can translate data into insight and action.
- Is confident engaging with senior stakeholders, influencing without authority and holding to account constructively.
- Understands the realities of delivering efficiency and transformation at pace, while maintaining quality and sustainability.
