A new opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join the Adult ADHD Service covering Norfolk & Waveney. We are a supportive team who take pride in our work and receive excellent service-user feedback. The role encompasses expert clinical practice, leadership, education, and research, with opportunity for service evaluation and quality improvement projects. The post is full-time, and flexible working arrangements will be considered in keeping with service delivery needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on and undertake diagnostic assessments and medication titration for adults meeting our service criteria, working independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Provide leadership on and contribute to all aspects of the ADHD pathway including triage, screening, assessment, psychoeducation, medication titration and management, risk assessment, and physical health monitoring.
  • Provide expert advice and consultation to other practitioners within NSFT and primary care.
  • Contribute to the education and clinical skills development of colleagues and other practitioners within NSFT and primary care as agreed.
  • Provide expert-level clinical and caseload supervision to practitioners within the team.
  • Contribute to service evaluation and development, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a high standard of timely report-writing and record-keeping that sets an example for colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Completed Advanced Nurse Practitioner training at MSc level and hold the V300 non-medical prescribing qualification.
  • Experience of undertaking ADHD assessments in line with DSM-5/ICD-11 criteria and ADHD medication treatment is essential.
  • A demonstrable and relevant clinical background at clinical nurse specialist level including neurodevelopmental assessment, mental health, and related clinical fields.
  • Reflective, forward-thinking, and committed to evidence-based practice with awareness of national and local drivers for change within ADHD services.
