An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic experienced qualified Psychological Therapist to become part of the integrated mental health and justice pathway team within HMP Norwich. The successful candidate will be working within day care at HMP Norwich. Day care is designed to support individuals presenting with risks of self‑harm, suicide, and self‑destructive behaviours.

Delivered in a safe and therapeutic setting separate from the prison wings, the service provides structured and creative psychoeducational and therapeutic group interventions tailored to individual needs to promote learning, skill development, and sustained behavioural change. This service offers therapeutic approaches underpinned by DBT, CBT and other psychological approaches, providing treatment pathways to address mood stabilisation, anxiety, relationship management, emotional regulation, personality difficulties and trauma. Specifically working with men who may self‑harm, have attempted suicide, and/or experience high levels of anxiety or trauma/PTSD.

The role includes an active contribution to reducing self‑harm, self‑destructive and violent behaviour, working closely with partner agencies.
