A vacancy has become available within the Infrastructure Team for a Digital Infrastructure Technician. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking team of skilled technicians, dedicated to maintaining a robust, high-performing, and modern ICT infrastructure. The Digital Infrastructure Technician will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the NSFT Trust’s IT infrastructure.
The position is responsible for the implementation, support, maintenance, monitoring, and continuous improvement of core digital systems, ensuring they operate reliably and effectively to meet the needs of the organisation. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Digital Services such as Service Desk, Field Support and Systems teams, the post holder will contribute to the delivery of high-quality digital services. We would also consider applications from individuals interested in part-time secondment opportunities for this role, subject to service requirements.
Responsibilities- Implement, support, maintain, monitor, and continuously improve core digital systems.
- Support and deploy technologies including Microsoft server operating systems and applications, Cisco networking and telephony equipment, Azure cloud services, SQL databases and Veeam backup solutions.
- Lead technical aspects of infrastructure projects and implement new technologies.
- Respond quickly to support needs and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Extensive experience supporting and deploying a range of technologies mentioned above.
- Strong communication skills and a practical, solution‑focused approach to technical inquiries.
- Full, valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to various NSFT sites across Norfolk and Suffolk.
- Proactive attitude towards learning and supporting emerging systems.
The interview process will include four technical competency-based questions, followed by a 30-minute technical assessment to evaluate the candidate’s skills and suitability for the position.
