Are you passionate about improving public health through better food?
NSF is looking for a Technologist – Nutrition & Health to join our team on a fixed-term 12 month contract, part-time basis (3 days per week), working with Whitbread – the name behind Premier Inn, Beefeater, and more.
In this role, you’ll help shape and implement Whitbread’s nutrition and health strategy, ensuring compliance with evolving legislation and driving meaningful improvements across menus. You’ll collaborate with chefs, marketers, suppliers, and government stakeholders to make a real difference in the food served to millions of customers.

Responsibilities
Including, but not limited to:
- Lead internal governance of nutrition strategy and policy compliance
- Drive reformulation and healthier menu development with chefs and suppliers
- Manage reporting against government targets (calories, salt, sugar) and support ESG disclosures
- Ensure compliance with nutrition-related legislation and sign-off processes
- Represent Whitbread in external stakeholder engagement and government consultations
- Collaborate with internal teams to advocate for nutrition across the business
- Support development of healthier children’s menus and marketing messaging
- Attend internal steering groups and policy review forums
- Degree in Food Nutrition or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of food legislation, labelling, and nutrient profiling
- Experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and training delivery
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and travel across the UK and occasionally Europe/Internationally
- Experience in hospitality is a plus
- Experience working in a matrix organisation is a plus
