We are hiring a qualified SMETA Auditor in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct 2- and 4-pillar SMETA audits
  • Represent NSF with the designated clients
  • Logistical, cost-effective planning of all assigned audits
  • Develop effective audit plans for the completion of assigned audits within a specific timeframe
  • Summarize and evaluate audit findings
  • Communicate recorded non-conformances with client site management or appropriate client representatives
  • Submit audit reports according to scheme requirements and NSF’s defined KPIs
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with key team members, including audit delivery and key account team members
  • Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

  • University-level degree - any subject
  • APSCA Registered Auditor (RA) or Certified Social Compliance Auditor (CSCA), Lead Social Compliance Auditor training, SA 8000, SMETA or similar experience
  • Lead Auditor qualification, ideally to SA 8000, CSR or ISO 26000 requirements
  • Knowledge of and previous working exposure to quality management and technical systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including reading, writing and verbal proficiency in English
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong preparation, organization, planning and record-keeping skills
  • Accurate, methodical and organized
  • Excellent report writing skills with quick turnaround time (10 days to submit final report from audit closing)
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Sound knowledge of applicable labour laws and H&S regulations
  • Understanding and demonstration of competence with the required audit process and methodology relevant to the audit schemes
  • Ability to verify and triangulate information of objective evidence during an audit process
  • Ability to interpret and apply knowledge of relevant laws, standards and systems in practice
