Do you have a love of all things farming, our great British agriculture industry and the quality of the food it produces? NSF is a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification services. Our Agriculture team audits against a number of plant and animal‑based assurance schemes. We audit and certify that farms meet scheme owner standards. We are looking for a Red Tractor Pigs and Arable Assessor to join our team of contractors in the East Midlands – Leicester, Peterborough, Coventry, Nottingham, or in between.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on‑farm assessments
  • Summarize and evaluate audit findings, and submit reports in a timely manner
  • Communicate findings and results of audits with client site management or appropriate client representatives
  • Develop effective work plans for the completion of assigned audits within a determined timeframe
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with key team members, including audit delivery and client teams

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in an agricultural related subject
  • On farm experience, preferably farm management or stockman experience with responsibility for health, welfare, safety and legality, appropriate to the sector
  • The ability to communicate with and engage with both the farming community and colleagues in a confident and patient manner
  • Enthusiastic and energetic, with a keen eye for detail and a passion to improve standards
  • Ability to manage conflict and difficult situations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to manage own time and meet strict deadlines
  • General IT skills
  • Respect for individual and company confidentiality rights
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Completion of a Lead Assessor course beneficial
  • Level 3 HACCP beneficial
