Overview
In this role, you’ll transition from hospitality to a dedicated auditor position with structured hours and clear development. You’ll support clients by assessing food safety and health & safety compliance at their sites, contributing to high standards across restaurants, bars, and grocery stores. You’ll work locally with limited overnight travel and benefit from funded Level 4 safety qualifications and mentoring. Your work directly helps protect public health while offering a path to career growth within NSF. Responsibilities
- Perform food safety and health & safety checks at client sites
- Train and coach staff on-site to meet compliance standards
- Document inspection results and share findings with client managers
- Collect samples and coordinate laboratory tests as needed
- Plan inspections to meet deadlines and respond to client needs
- Coordinate with team and client contacts to ensure smooth operations
- Take on additional tasks when required for project delivery
Key requirements
- Level 4 qualifications in Food Safety and Health & Safety (a plus)
- Degree in Environmental Health (or similar, a big plus)
- Experience auditing in Food, Health & Safety, and Fire
- Ability to train safety advisors if needed
- Registration with CIEH or IOSH (a big plus)
- Excellent communication skills
- Full UK driving license
- Willingness to travel
