ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client operates within a specialist engineering and manufacturing environment, delivering complex, high-reliability systems for demanding end users. Their teams work across the full product lifecycle, from assembly and testing through to final system acceptance. Due to continued project demand, they are seeking an experienced Assembly & Test Technician to support testing, assembly, and commissioning activities.
THE ASSEMBLY AND TEST TECHNICIAN ROLE
As an Assembly & Test Technician, you will be responsible for RF testing of PCBAs and system sub-assemblies using both automated and manual measurement techniques. You'll also support electro-mechanical assembly, system commissioning, and final acceptance prior to customer delivery, ensuring all products meet defined quality and test standards.
- RF testing of PCBAs and system sub-assemblies
- Electro-mechanical assembly of internally designed products
- Commissioning and final acceptance testing of full systems
- Recording and collating test data in line with ATPs and test instructions
- Fault finding and repair of non-conforming products
- Supporting process, documentation, and site improvements
ASSEMBLY AND TEST TECHNICIAN ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Basic understanding of electronic principles
- Experience in electro-mechanical assembly
- Experience using automated and manual test equipment
- Proven fault-finding and troubleshooting skills on non-conforming products
- Eligibility for SC Clearance
- Working knowledge of RF testing (desirable)
