About the Role

We’re hiring a Manager - Financial Operations - DC to serve as the Finance Business Partner for Data Center Projects, initially supporting a major deployment in the EMEA region before scaling support to future build projects.

Reporting to the VP of Financial Ops (DC & Projects), you’ll partner closely with commercial, design and construction, procurement, project management, accounting, and operations teams.

You’ll provide actionable financial insight, support commercial decision-making and capital planning, and strengthen financial governance across large-scale data center deployments.

This role is based in London with remote flexibility and an expectation of connecting in the office one to three days a week.

It suits someone who combines strong financial acumen with an understanding of construction project dynamics, cost drivers, and risk management, and who thrives in a dynamic, high-intensity environment.

  • Financial Planning & Forecasting
  • Facilitate annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for operating and capital expenditure.
  • Monitor performance against budget, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Support long-range planning and capacity growth forecasts.
  • Performance Reporting & Insights
  • Deliver monthly management reporting and variance analysis.
  • Develop KPI dashboards and performance metrics.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Support executive and board reporting requirements.
  • Capital Expenditure & Investment Management
  • Track and report on infrastructure and data center capital investments.
  • Support business case development for new sites and expansion projects.
  • Monitor project spend against approved budgets.
  • Maintain strong financial governance and investment discipline.
  • Operational Finance Business Partnering
  • Partner with the accounting team on accruals and validation during monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Analyse key cost drivers, including power, colocation, facilities, maintenance contracts, hardware, and network costs.
  • Identify efficiency improvements and cost-optimisation opportunities.
  • Partner with operations leaders to evaluate productivity and efficiency initiatives.
  • Support vendor financial reviews and contract evaluations.
  • Process Improvement & Controls
  • Improve forecasting accuracy and financial controls.
  • Standardise and automate reporting processes.
  • Enhance financial transparency and data quality.
  • Build scalable finance processes that enable business growth.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, operations finance, infrastructure finance, or a related role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
  • Experience supporting operational or technical business functions.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to challenge assumptions with data.
  • Experience in data centers, cloud infrastructure, telecommunications, colocation, hyperscale environments, or critical facilities operations is preferred.
  • Understanding of data center cost drivers, including power, cooling, network infrastructure, and capacity utilisation, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with KPI reporting for infrastructure operations and asset utilisation is preferred.
