About the Role

We are hiring a Director, Finance Systems Enablement to own the design and optimization of Finance & Accounting systems with a core focus on Oracle NetSuite within our operational accounting technology environment.

This role sits within Accounting and Reporting and reports to the Senior Director, Accounting Systems. You will serve as the hands-on system expert responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and continuously improving NetSuite in support of key operational accounting processes, including procure-to-pay, record-to-report, intercompany, and close activities. You’ll work closely with Accounting, the master data team, IT, and other system stakeholders to translate accounting requirements into effective system configurations, workflows, reporting, roles, permissions, and automation.

This is a critical role for ensuring the ongoing health, performance, optimisation, and control integrity of NetSuite itself. Your work will directly improve system reliability, strengthen controls, reduce manual effort, and help accounting teams operate with greater accuracy and visibility as Nscale continues to scale.

What you'll be doing

System Design

  • Lead or support on internal design workshops for finance systems with business stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with key business stakeholders on important finance system key design decisions and formulate the Nscale vision towards external implementation partners.
  • Translate Nscale’s business model into simple, scalable system configurations that avoid unnecessary customization.
  • Review, challenge, and rationalise existing system integrator designs to remove complexity and technical debt.
  • Define a minimum viable go-live and a phased roadmap that supports rapid scaling without over-engineering.

System Optimisation & Automation

  • Collaborate with NetSuite Administrator(s) and external partners on process optimization, automation, usability and performance improvement.
  • Drive robust structures for approval workflows, system controls, and automation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within NetSuite to reduce manual work and increase accuracy.
  • Lead or support on any aspect (Design, Build, Training & Testing or Hypercare) of new finance system improvements or implementations
  • Evaluate NetSuite releases, recommend beneficial new functionality, and maintain a structured backlog of enhancements and optimisation initiatives.

NetSuite Administration

  • Partner with key accounting stakeholders to centrally manage targeted reporting data sets and dashboards for internal reporting purposes.
  • Set up a robust structure for NetSuite user roles that balances SoD and data security. Working together with NetSuite administrator(s) to manage user access and maintain user roles.
  • Manage sandbox environments, internal NetSuite improvement roadmap and coordinate releases of new functionality to production.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external system integrators for high-impacting NetSuite production issues.

Master Data Management & Integration Design

  • Support controlled master data updates and ensure proper documentation of system changes.
  • Monitor data integrity and identify inconsistencies or structural issues.
  • Support design & technical aspects of integrations between NetSuite and upstream/downstream systems.
  • Work closely with data and platform teams to define NetSuite’s role as a system of record within a broader data architecture.
  • Partner with accounting and controls teams in the vendor selection and scoping of new finance systems.

Controls, Compliance & Enhancements

  • Maintain system configurations that support SOX compliance.
  • Ensure user access controls and change management processes are properly documented.
  • Support audit requests related to NetSuite configuration and access.
  • Maintain documentation for customisations, workflows, and system architecture.

About You

  • 10+ years of hands-on NetSuite administration experience.
  • Strong understanding of operational accounting processes, including P2P, R2R, intercompany, and close.
  • Experience configuring workflows, roles, saved searches, dashboards, and custom fields.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and segregation of duties within ERP systems.
  • Experience supporting SOX-compliant environments preferred.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Accounting, IT, and system stakeholders.
  • Experience in high-growth, multi-entity environments preferred.
