About Nscale

Nscale is the GPU cloud engineered for AI. We provide cost-effective, high-performance infrastructure for AI start-ups and large enterprise customers. Nscale enables AI-focused companies to achieve superior results by reducing the complexity of AI development. Our GPU cloud bolsters technical capabilities and directly supports strategic business outcomes, including cost management, rapid innovation, and environmental responsibility. We thrive on a culture of relentless innovation, ownership, and accountability, where every team member takes pride in their work and drives it with excellence and urgency. As an Nscaler, you’ll build trust through openness and transparency, where everyone is inspired to do their best work. If you join our team, you’ll be contributing to building the technology that powers the future.

The challenge

People do extraordinary things when two things line up: the right conditions, and people ready to rise to them. The conditions start with clear expectations, real problems that stretch people, and honest guidance the moment they need it. Left to chance, they don’t happen consistently, and creating them is the job of every leader with their own teams. People Enablement builds what leaders use to do that well here. We amplify the Nscale Way and help teams work together effectively.

About the role

You are the commercial partner to Nscale's North American sales team. Sitting between Sales, Finance, Legal, Corporate Development and Capacity Planning, you will work directly with senior Account Executives to structure, quote and close custom GPU compute contracts. Your value is in how the deal is built above the floor: the commitment structure, payment terms, capacity guarantees and SLA arrangements that make Nscale the easier commercial decision. You will also make sure deals move, that approvals are chased, that terms are translatable into billing and capacity, and that nothing dies waiting on an internal desk.

Responsibilities

  • Deal structuring and scenario modelling. Build multi-scenario deal structures using the cost, margin and capacity inputs owned by Finance. Produce the ROI and TCO comparisons that demonstrate Nscale's value for a customer's specific AI workload, using approved assumptions.
  • Frontline commercial advisory. Serve as the commercial advisor on live deals. Work through terms, utilisation and commitment levels within the standard menu. Prepare the case and the recommendation when a deal needs a deviation or a floor exception. Apply and defend the framework. Operate the approval matrix, SLA credit menu and booking policy consistently. Route standard deals through the standard path and reserve escalation for deals that genuinely need it.
  • Coach the sales team. Work with AEs on commercial strategy: which contracting levers unstick a stalled deal, how to increase total contract value, and how to shorten time to close.
  • Manage deal triage. Project manage the internal lifecycle of complex deals, chasing approvals from Legal, Finance, Corporate Development and Capacity Planning so deals keep moving.
  • Improve the system. Identify recurring friction and build the calculators, templates and workflows that stop it recurring.

You may be a good fit if you have:

  • 3+ years in Deal Desk, Sales Finance or commercial structuring in B2B technology, focused on cloud, infrastructure or hardware.
  • Strong financial modelling skills and comfort working with capacity, margin, power cost and utilisation data to build scenario models at speed.
  • The judgement to push back on a demanding deal request to protect the framework, while keeping the relationship with the AE intact.
  • A process-oriented instinct: you look for the version of the deal that can be repeated, not just the one that closes.
  • The ability to run several large deals at once without losing the detail on any of them.

Equal Opportunities Statement

We strongly encourage applications from people of colour, the LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities, neurodivergent people, parents, carers, and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds. If there’s anything we can do to accommodate your specific situation, please let us know.

Additional Information

The responsibilities outlined in this job description are not exhaustive and are intended to provide a general overview of the position. The employee may be required to perform additional duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned by management, consistent with the skills and qualifications required for the role.
