Nscale is the GPU cloud engineered for AI. We provide cost‑effective, high‑performance infrastructure for AI start‑ups and large enterprise customers. Nscale enables AI‑focused companies to achieve superior results by reducing the complexity of AI development. Our GPU cloud bolsters technical capabilities and directly supports strategic business outcomes, including cost management, rapid innovation, and environmental responsibility. We thrive on a culture of relentless innovation, ownership, and accountability, where every team member takes pride in their work and drives it with excellence and urgency. As an Nscaler, you’ll build trust through openness and transparency, where everyone is inspired to do their best work. If you join our team, you’ll be contributing to building the technology that powers the future.

About The Role

We are hiring an Enterprise Architect at a Senior Manager to Director level to define and drive implementation of the long‑range technology direction for Nscale, build the architecture, governance, and programme structures that will carry the company into public company readiness. You will own the enterprise architecture frameworks, drive the transformation roadmap, and align systems, data, security, and processes with the company’s operating model to enable it to achieve its goals. This role is both strategic and hands‑on. As Nscale continues its rapid growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, you will play a critical role in M&A integration architecture — evaluating target companies’ technology estates, defining integration strategies, and ensuring acquired systems align with Nscale's architectural principles. You will conduct deep technical research to inform build vs. buy decisions and ensure the company adopts best‑in‑class solutions. In this practical architecture role, you will work across Infrastructure, Security, BizOps, Finance, and IT to set standards, reduce complexity, and guide major initiatives like ERP evolution, data platform growth, and data integration programme, from inception to delivery and onboarding. With a global footprint and rapidly expanding operations, you will establish the architecture and transformation engine that ensures Nscale scales with clarity, control, and speed.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Enterprise Architecture & Design Authority: Define and maintain enterprise‑wide architecture standards across applications, data, security, and infrastructure. Produce reference architectures, integration patterns, and design principles that are actively used in delivery. Act as design authority for major initiatives, reviewing and shaping solution designs from concept through implementation. Maintain clear, lightweight documentation and architectural decision records. Partner closely with Infrastructure, Security, Systems Integration, and BizOps to align architecture with operational needs.
  • Transformation Delivery & Adoption: Own and drive the multi‑year transformation roadmap across ERP, DC technology, data platforms, integrations, and corporate systems. Assess current‑state architecture, identify gaps and risks, and define pragmatic target states. Define success criteria for major rollouts and ensure delivery aligns to business outcomes. Support onboarding and training programmes for new platforms and systems to drive adoption and consistent use. Ensure sequencing is realistic and delivery‑focused: what is built, when, and how teams transition.
  • M&A Architecture & Integration Strategy: Lead technical due diligence for acquisitions, assessing technology estates, integration complexity, and architectural fit. Define integration strategies for acquired companies—determining what systems to retain, migrate, or retire. Evaluate the best approaches for joining systems: full migration, co‑existence patterns, or selective integration. Build repeatable M&A integration playbooks that accelerate time‑to‑value while managing risk. Partner with Corporate Development, Finance, and IT to inform deal valuation and integration planning. Identify synergies and rationalisation opportunities across merged technology estates.
  • Research & Strategic Technology Evaluation: Conduct structured desk research to deeply understand technology options, market landscape, and emerging patterns. Build comparison frameworks that evaluate platforms across technical, commercial, and lifecycle dimensions. Maintain awareness of industry trends, best practices, and architectural patterns from peer companies. Produce concise research outputs that inform leadership decisions on strategic technology investments. Challenge vendor positioning with independent analysis and real‑world case studies. Maintain a technology radar of tools, platforms, and approaches relevant to Nscale’s architecture.
  • Programs, Governance & Execution Oversight: Provide architectural leadership for large‑scale programs such as ERP evolution, DC buildouts, platform migrations, and compliance initiatives. Run governance forums that enable fast, informed decisions and clear trade‑offs. Track architectural risks, dependencies, and technical debt through to resolution. Produce concise steering materials that give executives visibility on progress, risks, and readiness.
  • Vendor & Partner Engagement: Act as technical counterpart for strategic vendors and delivery partners. Lead architectural evaluations of platforms and tools, supporting commercial decisions with a lifecycle and integration lens. Ensure vendor‑led solutions align to Nscale standards, patterns, and security requirements. Hold partners accountable to agreed designs, success criteria, and delivery outcomes.
  • Technical Debt, Lifecycle & Compliance: Maintain visibility of architectural debt, end‑of‑life systems, and areas requiring redesign. Drive structured remediation plans that simplify and stabilise the environment. Ensure architecture, data flows, and documentation meet audit, SOX, and compliance expectations. Work with Security and GRC to ensure controls are designed into systems, not bolted on.
  • Enablement & Capability Building: Enable delivery teams through clear standards, patterns, and practical guidance. Mentor architects, senior engineers, and programme leads to raise architectural quality. Build shared documentation and training materials that help teams deliver consistently. Promote a culture of pragmatic design, accountability, and cross‑functional alignment.

Proven track record of evaluating and comparing enterprise platforms (ERP, data platforms, integration tools) with a critical, independent lens. Experience with integration pattern design—API strategies, data migration approaches, co‑existence architectures. Skilled at balancing long‑term plans with pragmatic execution, focused on moving at speed. Able to translate complex designs into simple explanations for executives and cross‑functional teams. Comfortable leading in ambiguous, fast‑growth environments, confident in working with vendors and internal stakeholders alike, whether securing alignment or challenging positions as needed.
