What you'll be doing

ESG Reporting Framework & Governance

  • Design and continuously improve ESG and sustainability reporting processes, controls, and governance frameworks across Nscale’s global operations.
  • Establish clear data ownership, reporting timelines, documentation standards, and cross‑functional workflows.
  • Build scalable, audit‑ready reporting practices that support evolving regulatory and stakeholder requirements.
  • Ensure ESG reporting outputs meet high standards of accuracy, quality, and consistency within demanding reporting timelines.

Carbon Inventory & Non‑Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain the Group’s carbon inventory in line with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
  • Calculate greenhouse gas emissions across international operations, data centre infrastructure, and subsidiaries with statutory reporting requirements.
  • Review and validate sustainability metrics and non‑financial KPI disclosures with internal stakeholders and assurance providers.
  • Contribute commentary and analysis for investors, lenders, customers, and other stakeholders, focusing on sustainability metrics and AI infrastructure‑related ESG considerations.

Disclosures, Assurance & Compliance

  • Develop and coordinate Nscale’s ESG and sustainability reporting suite, including sustainability disclosures, ESG databooks, investor materials, and statutory sustainability reporting requirements.
  • Support disclosures aligned with frameworks and regulations including CSRD, ESRS, ISSB/IFRS Sustainability Standards, and TCFD.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external audits and assurance engagements relating to ESG and sustainability reporting.
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and well‑supported responses to audit and assurance requests.

Process Design, Systems & Cross‑Functional Partnership

  • Establish and maintain ESG data collection, validation, and reporting processes.
  • Partner with finance and internal audit teams to align ESG reporting with broader governance and control frameworks.
  • Drive the selection and implementation of systems, tools, and reporting processes to support centralised, scalable, and auditable ESG and non‑financial data management.
  • Collaborate with legal to monitor emerging ESG regulations, reporting requirements, and industry best practices relevant to the AI, technology, and data centre sectors.
  • Work with operations and sustainability stakeholders to strengthen ESG reporting processes and the overall reporting framework.

About You

  • 10+ years of experience in financial reporting, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Qualified accountant such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with ESG reporting frameworks.
  • Hands‑on experience with financial and ESG systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in a high‑growth technology or cloud infrastructure business is preferred.
  • Prior experience setting up finance operations or transformations in a start‑up or scale‑up environment is preferred.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building from scratch.
  • High integrity, precision, attention to detail, and a collaborative, transparent, proactive approach.
