About the Role
We're hiring a Compensation Manager to build scalable, data-driven, and governance-aligned compensation frameworks that support Nscale's rapid global growth.
Sitting within the People team as part of the Reward function, you'll work closely with the Compensation Director, Finance, FP&A, People Partners, Talent Acquisition and business leaders.
You'll manage global benchmarking and annual reward cycles, evolve our job architecture, strengthen reward governance, and help improve compensation processes and reporting in Workday.
This role is critical to enabling competitive, equitable, and sustainable pay decisions as Nscale expands.
You'll combine strong analytical capability with practical business partnering to translate complex reward data into clear recommendations for stakeholders.
What you'll be doing
Compensation Strategy & Benchmarking
- Manage the annual global compensation benchmarking process, advising on partner selection and management alongside the Compensation Director.
- Conduct market-pricing analysis for new and existing roles across global locations.
- Support new country and location reviews with compensation analysis and market-data insights.
- Maintain and evolve Nscale's global job architecture in alignment with market frameworks.
- Provide data-driven recommendations that support competitive, equitable, and sustainable pay decisions.
- Annual Reward Cycle Management
- Manage the annual compensation and bonus review cycle, coordinating timelines, modelling, approvals, and communications.
- Partner with Finance and FP&A on budget modelling and compensation planning.
- Produce post-cycle reporting, analytics, and insights to inform business decisions.
- HRIS & Reward Governance
- Partner on compensation-related configuration and continuous improvement within Workday, ensuring accurate structures, workflows, and reporting.
- Maintain compensation governance documentation, controls, and audit readiness in support of SOX compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain compensation reporting and dashboards to improve data quality and decision-making.
- Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to compensation initiatives including job architecture enhancements, pay-transparency readiness, geographic expansion, and process optimisation.
- Develop and maintain scalable reward policies, documentation, and operating procedures.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Business Partnering
- Partner with People Partners and business leaders to advise on compensation, promotions, benchmarking, and pay decisions.
- Support manager education on Nscale's reward philosophy, compensation processes, and equity programmes.
- Translate complex reward data into clear, practical recommendations for stakeholders.
- Support sensitive compensation discussions and respond to reward-related queries across the business.
About You
- Experience working in compensation within a high-growth technology or multinational environment.
- Strong expertise in job architecture and market benchmarking.
- Experience supporting annual compensation review cycles in a global environment.
- Strong working knowledge of global market-data providers such as Radford, Pave, Mercer, WTW, or Croner.
- Knowledge of Workday Compensation and reward governance processes.
- Strong financial and analytical acumen, with advanced Excel and modelling capability.
- Confidence operating as an individual contributor and influencing without direct authority.
- High attention to detail, a strong governance mindset, and excellent stakeholder-management skills.
- Comfort working through ambiguity and building scalable frameworks in a fast-evolving organisation.
