About the Role
We’re hiring a Finance Manager, Product to partner with Product leadership and support the financial operations of Nscale’s global AI compute platform. This role sits within Finance Operations and reports to the Senior Finance Manager, Technology and Product. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, and procurement teams to support budgeting, forecasting, cost governance, and performance analysis across product development initiatives.
You’ll play a high-impact role in helping Nscale invest effectively in product development and enterprise initiatives. By bringing clarity to operating expense management, headcount planning, program-level investment tracking, and ROI analysis, you’ll help drive disciplined decision-making in a fast-paced, investment-driven environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting across the product development organization.
- Maintain financial reporting across OpEx tracking, headcount, and program-level spend.
- Develop financial forecasts covering hiring plans, resource allocation, and initiative timelines.
- Build and maintain financial models to support product investments, roadmap planning, and program spend.
- Track and report on core KPIs such as cost per product initiative, product investment efficiency, and program spend effectiveness.
- Support reporting on product delivery timelines, feature development progress, and program execution.
- Produce regular reporting on financial performance, including spend, headcount, and program costs.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial and operational data across systems and reports.
- Support development of unit economics across product investments, including cost per feature, product, or customer segment where applicable.
- Identify cost efficiency opportunities across product development, tooling, infrastructure usage, and spend.
- Partner with product teams to understand cost drivers, development cycles, and program performance trends.
- Contribute to cost optimization and efficiency initiatives through data-driven analysis.
- Build financial models and analysis to support product initiatives, feature development, and investments.
- Support management of Product budgets by tracking actuals versus plan and highlighting variances.
- Assist in evaluating trade-offs across product prioritization, resource allocation, and build vs. buy decisions.
- Track performance against investment assumptions and provide visibility into ROI and impact.
- Support financial evaluation of product tools, platforms, and vendors.
- Partner with Product and procurement teams to track vendor spend and identify optimization opportunities.
- Monitor usage and cost trends across tooling and solutions to promote efficient spend.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to support financial decision-making.
- Translate technical and product data into clear financial insights.
- Support planning and prioritization of product roadmaps and initiatives.
- Support cost tracking, budget controls, and governance processes.
About You:
- 5–8 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or infrastructure/cloud finance roles at a high-growth or top-tier technology company.
- Advanced financial modeling skills, including scenario analysis, sensitivity modeling, and long-range planning.
- Experience owning or materially contributing to forecasting and planning in a complex, usage-based or infrastructure-heavy environment.
- Strong understanding of cost drivers in cloud, compute, or infrastructure systems, including utilization, capacity, and unit cost dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with engineering or technical teams and influence decision-making.
- Track record of deriving insights from large, ambiguous datasets and turning them into clear recommendations.
- High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, with experience using SQL and data tools such as Looker or Tableau.
- Experience in AI, GPU cloud, or distributed infrastructure environments is a plus.
- Exposure to unit economics, margin modeling, capital allocation, investment analysis, or capacity planning is valuable.
- You’re a high-ownership, detail-oriented operator who is comfortable with ambiguity, thinks from first principles, and brings urgency and accountability to complex infrastructure finance problems.
