This role sits within Accounting and Reporting and reports to the Senior Director, Accounting Systems. You will serve as the hands‑on system expert responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and continuously improving NetSuite in support of key operational accounting processes, including procure-to-pay, record-to-report, intercompany, and close activities. You’ll work closely with Accounting, the Corporate Systems owner, the master data team, IT, and other system stakeholders to translate accounting requirements into effective system configurations, workflows, reporting, roles, permissions, and automation. This is a critical role for ensuring the ongoing health, performance, optimisation, and control integrity of NetSuite itself. Your work will directly improve system reliability, strengthen controls, reduce manual effort, and help accounting teams operate with greater accuracy and visibility as Nscale continues to scale.

What you’ll be doing

  • NetSuite Administration & Configuration
    • Serve as the primary NetSuite system finance data owner.
    • Manage roles, permissions, and user access in line with segregation of duties requirements.
    • Configure workflows, forms, fields, scripts, and customisations to support accounting operations.
    • Maintain and enhance approval workflows, system controls, and automation.
    • Manage sandbox environments and coordinate releases to production.
    • Identify and implement process improvements within NetSuite to reduce manual work and increase accuracy.
    • Improve system performance, data structure, and usability for accounting users.
    • Develop saved searches, dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools to improve visibility.
    • Partner with Accounting to streamline operational accounting processes through system design.
  • Master Data Management & Integration Support
    • Partner with the master data team to maintain configuration across the Chart of Accounts, segments, subsidiaries, entity structures, and vendor records.
    • Support controlled master data updates and ensure proper documentation of system changes.
    • Monitor data integrity and identify inconsistencies or structural issues.
    • Support technical aspects of integrations between NetSuite and upstream/downstream systems.
    • Assist with field mapping validation, testing, troubleshooting, and coordination with IT or external partners when fixes are required.
  • Controls, Compliance & Enhancements
    • Maintain system configurations that support SOX compliance.
    • Ensure user access controls and change management processes are properly documented.
    • Support audit requests related to NetSuite configuration and access.
    • Maintain documentation for customisations, workflows, and system architecture.
    • Evaluate NetSuite releases, recommend beneficial new functionality, and maintain a structured backlog of enhancements and optimisation initiatives.

About You

  • 10+ years of hands‑on NetSuite administration experience.
  • Strong understanding of operational accounting processes, including P2P, R2R, intercompany, and close.
  • Experience configuring workflows, roles, saved searches, dashboards, and custom fields.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and segregation of duties within ERP systems.
  • Highly detail‑oriented with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Comfortable working cross‑functionally with Accounting, IT, and system stakeholders.
  • Experience in high‑growth, multi‑entity environments preferred.
