This is an exciting opportunity to join their forward-thinking Resources & Waste team, contributing to high-profile and impactful projects across the UK and globally.
As a Senior Resources & Waste Consultant, you will play a key role in the delivery of resource management strategies and waste-related environmental assessments. You will be a trusted expert, providing strategic insights and technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, urban development, and sustainability projects.
- Lead the preparation of waste and resource management strategies for major developments.
- Deliver waste-related inputs to environmental impact assessments (EIA) across sectors.
- Manage and mentor multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring high-quality technical outputs and strong financial performance.
- Collaborate across teams to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions that meet client and regulatory expectations.
- Occasional travel within the UK and internationally may be required, depending on project needs.
Our client is looking for a knowledgeable and driven individual who is passionate about circular economy principles and has a proven track record in delivering waste consultancy services.
- Degree and postgraduate qualification in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
- Full membership of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM).
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU waste policy, legislation, and circular economy frameworks.
- Deep technical understanding of waste technologies including MRF, IVC, MBT, AD, WtE, pyrolysis and gasification.
- Experience developing waste strategies for local authorities and/or large-scale developments.
- Understanding of environment and sustainability standards – e.g. Developing policies, procedures, and forms for environmental management (desirable).
- Environmental audits (desirable).
