A leading multi-disciplinary building services consultancy is looking to appoint a Graduate Public Health Engineer with around 1+ years of experience to join their growing team in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious early-career engineer to join a well-established consultancy delivering innovative building services solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial, residential, mixed-use and education developments. You will work within a collaborative engineering team, supporting the delivery of high-quality public health designs while developing your technical skills and working towards professional accreditation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and coordination of public health engineering systems, including domestic hot and cold water services and drainage systems.
  • Support the preparation of technical calculations, drawings, specifications and reports.
  • Work closely with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to deliver coordinated building services designs.
  • Liaise with architects, contractors and other project stakeholders throughout the design process.
  • Attend project meetings and design coordination workshops.
  • Support site inspections and surveys where required.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant UK standards and Building Regulations.

About You

  • Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or similar.
  • Approximately 1+ years’ experience within a building services consultancy or contractor environment.
  • Understanding of public health systems within buildings, including water services and drainage.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Motivated to develop professionally and progress within the building services sector.

Desirable

  • Experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Awareness of sustainable building design and water efficiency strategies.
  • Working towards, or interested in pursuing, professional accreditation with the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers.
