At nsave, we’re building a new kind of fintech, focused on transforming the way underserved communities manage and grow their wealth. We’re looking for an exceptional Backend Engineer to join us in shaping the future of our platform and services. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and own core infrastructure subsystems: service architecture, reliability, CI/CD pipelines, operational health, security, and integrations with compliance and banking services.
- Proactively improve system health and compliance: identify weaknesses in code and infrastructure, prioritize fixes, and deliver solutions that keep systems secure, performant, and regulation-ready.
- Ensure user-facing financial systems are high-throughput, low-latency, and meet reliability expectations.
- Balance rapid product iteration with operational stability—responding quickly to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Champion a user-centered approach, building infrastructure that directly supports product performance, compliance, and trust.
Qualifications
- Broad platform & infrastructure expertise: backend architecture, databases, site reliability, infrastructure as code, and continuous deployment.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals: clean abstractions, scalability, thoughtful trade-offs, and a passion for building and optimizing complex systems.
- Security-first mindset: experience designing and operating robust, financial-grade systems that can withstand penetration attempts.
- Collaborative and supportive: committed to improving developer productivity, enabling teammates to ship quickly and safely, and maintaining the team’s operational health.
- Business-aware decision making: ability to weigh speed vs. quality, with technical choices guided by product and compliance needs.
- Regulated environment experience: familiarity with fintech or other domains where compliance, reliability, and security are critical.
