We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lightning Protection Engineer to join our growing team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance of lightning protection and earthing systems across a range of commercial, industrial, and residential sites.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical knowledge, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install lightning protection systems in accordance with BS EN 62305 and relevant standards
- Carry out testing, inspection, and certification of lightning protection and earthing systems
- Diagnose faults and carry out remedial works where required
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Complete site reports, test results, and certification documentation accurately
- Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and other contractors
- Ensure all works are completed safely and in compliance with health & safety regulations
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle (if provided)
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Lightning Protection Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of BS EN 62305 and earthing systems
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Lightning Protection, Electrical Installation, or equivalent (preferred)
- ECS/CSCS card (essential)
- 18th Edition (desirable but not essential)
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work at height and across multiple sites
- Good written and verbal communication skills
