An exciting opportunity has arisen within our family run business for a Weighbridge Cover/Finance Assistant and Accounts Clerk to join the NRS GROUP administration and accounts team. NRS is a multi-site Group of Companies specialising in aggregates supply, waste management and haulage services to the construction industry throughout the Midlands.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written – excellent telephone manner and email etiquette essential
- Strong IT skills including Word, Excel, Outlook; helpful but not essential Adobe and Power Point
- High organisational skills – including accurate recording of data on systems with good attention to detail
- Experience on an accounting platform is an advantage to enable full training
- Ability to prioritise workload to meet all internal and external customer requirements/expectations
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Will be based at our Saredon site and be willing to cover Woodcote to cover weighbridge for both sites when required (generally holiday cover)
Finance duties
- Sales invoicing
- Supporting with paperwork and administration duties
- Providing reports
- Answering team emails
- Using bespoke software
- General administration duties
- Communicating with customers & suppliers to maintain good relationships
- Dealing with customer & supplier queries
Weighbridge duties
- Processing weighbridge tickets
- Inputting data onto computer systems
- Inputting PODs (proof of delivery) details on bespoke systems
- Scanning of waste/weighbridge tickets into computer
- New jobs set ups on systems
- Answering team emails
- General ad hoc admin duties
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook
- Proficient at data input
The Successful Candidate
- Experience of working within a weighbridge or Quarry environment would be an advantage
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team using initiative
- Conscientious & hard working individual
- Be able to work quickly and efficiently
- Administration experience
- Works well under pressure
- Must have a full UK driving licence due to location
- Attention to detail is required for this role

- Hours when doing finance role: 8am to 4.30pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch
- Hours when doing weighbridge: 6.30 to 4.30pm with 30 minutes paid lunch and generous overtime.
