NRS Group Limited specialises in aggregate supply, waste management and haulage services throughout the Midlands. Based in Meriden, we have recently built a bespoke workshop to maintain our fleet of 40 strong 8‑wheeler tippers, artic units, volumetric concrete mixers and various cars/LCVs. NRS also services third‑party vehicles. Due to continued growth we are recruiting for a full‑time permanent HGV technician reporting to the workshop foreman.

Job Description

  • Carry out periodic safety inspections, write up reports.
  • Rectify any faults found.
  • Carry out routine servicing.
  • Prepare and present MOTs.
  • Diagnose faults using plug‑in diagnostic equipment (e.g., Eclipse & Volvo Tech Tool).
  • Perform other duties relating to maintenance of the fleet.

Qualifications Required

  • City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 / BTEC / IMI / NVQ in motor vehicle management.
  • Volvo experience an advantage.
  • IRTEC certification an advantage.
  • HGV licence preferably class I.
  • Experience with plug‑in diagnostics such as Eclipse & Volvo Tech Tool.

Pre‑Requisites

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • A can‑do attitude is a must.
  • Focus on safety is a pre‑requisite.
  • Must be able to evidence qualifications.

Hours And Package

  • Monday – Friday 08:00 – 18:00
  • Saturday 08:00 – 14:00
  • Overtime available.
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Working alongside a friendly and supportive team.
  • Contributory pension scheme.
  • Competitive package based on experience.
