NRS Group Limited specialises in aggregate supply, waste management and haulage services throughout the Midlands. Based in Meriden, we have recently built a bespoke workshop to maintain our fleet of 40 strong 8‑wheeler tippers, artic units, volumetric concrete mixers and various cars/LCVs. NRS also services third‑party vehicles. Due to continued growth we are recruiting for a full‑time permanent HGV technician reporting to the workshop foreman.
Job Description
- Carry out periodic safety inspections, write up reports.
- Rectify any faults found.
- Carry out routine servicing.
- Prepare and present MOTs.
- Diagnose faults using plug‑in diagnostic equipment (e.g., Eclipse & Volvo Tech Tool).
- Perform other duties relating to maintenance of the fleet.
Qualifications Required
- City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 / BTEC / IMI / NVQ in motor vehicle management.
- Volvo experience an advantage.
- IRTEC certification an advantage.
- HGV licence preferably class I.
- Experience with plug‑in diagnostics such as Eclipse & Volvo Tech Tool.
Pre‑Requisites
- Right to work in the UK.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- A can‑do attitude is a must.
- Focus on safety is a pre‑requisite.
- Must be able to evidence qualifications.
Hours And Package
- Monday – Friday 08:00 – 18:00
- Saturday 08:00 – 14:00
- Overtime available.
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- Working alongside a friendly and supportive team.
- Contributory pension scheme.
