This Senior Engineer role in RPI Metrology at Dounreay offers the opportunity to work at the centre of nuclear safety, supporting critical instrumentation and regulatory compliance. This is a specialist engineering role providing technical leadership across radiation protection systems and supporting safe operations on site.

The role:

  • Provide technical leadership for Radiation Protection Instrumentation across site.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Support the full lifecycle of instrumentation including selection, calibration and maintenance.
  • Lead improvements in engineering processes and technical standards.
  • Work with regulators, manufacturers and industry stakeholders.
  • Support staff development and technical competence within the team.
