£500-£575 per day (can be paid via Construction Industry Scheme)
Working Pattern
10 days on 4 days off
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and managing project budgets and cost forecasts.
- Oversee all aspects of quantity surveying on major T&D projects
- Measuring and valuing completed works.
- Managing subcontractor procurement and contracts.
- Administering NEC3/NEC4 contracts (commonly used in UK utilities projects).
- Commercial management of contractors and subcontractors.
- Raising and managing Compensation Events (CEs) and Early Warnings (EWs).
- Producing monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
- Managing applications for payment and final accounts.
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks.
- Supporting tendering and estimating activities.
- Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Clients to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on major civil, M&E, or energy/infrastructure projects.
- Strong working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
- Previous experience in substation projects or similar power/energy infrastructure (highly desirable).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.
- Cost forecasting and financial reporting.
- Ability to work site-based on the Isle of Skye during work rotaion.
