Senior Electrical Design Engineer We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support with the development of key data centre projects and become an integral part of our client’s management team. The ideal candidate will be a recognised expert in electrical engineering and electrical design with some exposure to the data centre world or industrial / high-tech and commercial sectors, with extensive experience in people management and leading multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities to include: Review technical designs to ensure comprehensive understanding of design and scope. Enhance functionality and cost-efficiency on projects. Ensure effective collaboration between M&E teams. Lead a high-performing team, championing QA and QC, and meeting deadline targets. Monitor costs and innovate to minimise expenses within the group. Assist in managing group resources, including outsourcing. Liaise with senior management on new and relevant industry trends and products. Assist in procuring new business, liaising with the senior management team. Represent the group within the wider company, contributing to Quality Assurance procedures. Manage a team in delivering multiple large-scale projects. Monitor team development through monthly 1-2-1s and informal communication. Train junior team members and create action plans for addressing poor performance. Skills & Experience : Experience in people management, overseeing multidisciplinary teams. Experience in project management, with a focus on both electrical and mechanical engineering projects. Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels. A drive for continuous innovation and adoption of emerging technologies. Commitment to excellence in design processes and engineering techniques.
