Weโ€™re looking for an Assistant Contracts Surveyor to join a major construction project, supporting the commercial management team across all stages of project delivery.

This role is a great opportunity for someone with early experience or a strong educational background in surveying who is keen to develop their skills within a professional team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing subcontracts from procurement through account settlement
  • Support the preparation of cost reports, valuations, and payment applications
  • Help track project costs and maintain accurate financial records
  • Contribute to risk and value management, providing cost data for decision-making
  • Assist with preparing tender documents and reviewing contract conditions
  • Liaise with site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication
  • Maintain compliance with contractual obligations and procedures

Must-have Requirements

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with construction contracts (NEC/JCT) preferred
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and cost management software
  • Eagerness to learn and develop professionally within the commercial function
