Our client, a leading company in advanced engineering and technological solutions, is looking for accomplished Land/Engineering Surveyor to work on an inspiring long-term project in West Cumbria.
What the role includes
- Assist the Lead Surveyor by prioritising and carrying out survey tasks as required for the project.
- Take ownership of surveying and setting out intricate systems, including civil, mechanical, and piping equipment.
- Conduct and document as-built positional checks for completed work.
- Process survey data in the office to generate CAD drawings and survey reports.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the project team as the subject matter expert.
- Mentor and guide less experienced surveyors and engineers, teaching practical survey methods and best practices for setting out.
- Ensure full understanding and adherence to project quality assurance protocols.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety to uphold a Zero Harm work environment.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:
The role requires an individual experienced in surveying and set-out of complex large projects and must be;
- Holds a degree or HND in Surveying or a related field.
- Proficient in independently conducting a range of surveys, measurements, and Laser Scanning tasks using advanced surveying equipment and processing software.
- Reliable, capable of managing personal equipment, and comfortable working independently with a strong attention to detail in a dynamic environment.
- Flexible, with the ability to work night shifts and/or weekends as needed.
- A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to establish strong working relationships with delivery partners.
- Able to interpret project schedules and prioritise interdependent tasks effectively.
- Enthusiastic about the work, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Membership with the Chartered Institute of Engineering Surveyors is preferred.
- Holds a valid CSCS card.
- IOSH Working Safely certified.
Design Tools/Software
- Working knowledge of Navisworks and 3D BIM desirable
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD, LSS, Leica Survey Equipment
Successful candidate Should be able to obtain high level of security clearance
