About the Opportunity:
Our client, a global leader in the industrial and energy sectors, is looking for an experienced Indirect Material Coordinator to join their dynamic Supply Chain team. Operating in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, this role is essential in ensuring the timely, compliant, and cost-effective distribution of indirect materials—including chemicals, consumables, and tools—across multiple operational sites.
We are seeking candidates who thrive in logistics coordination, have a strong understanding of compliance standards, and can confidently manage stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the efficient distribution of indirect (non-BOM) materials based on site priorities.
- Ensure all tools meet compliance standards for inspection and calibration, working closely with quality assurance.
- Provide stakeholders with regular updates on purchase orders, delivery timelines, and upcoming activities.
- Act as the key escalation point for logistics issues, driving resolution in collaboration with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team.
- Partner with suppliers and logistics providers to manage deliveries, reduce costs, and improve service.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and support internal teams with proper order placement and tracking.
- Lead periodic logistics reviews to identify process improvements and support continuous development.
- Stay informed on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and supply chain innovations.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Demonstrable experience in logistics, supply chain coordination, or inventory management.
- Familiarity with compliance and calibration requirements for industrial tools and equipment.
- Skilled in supply chain software, asset management tools, and inventory systems.
- Strong communicator with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve escalations.
- Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and proactive in improving operational performance.
- Knowledge of international shipping and customs regulations is advantageous.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
