You'll play a key role in managing employee relations, driving engagement, and delivering robust HR policies to support future growth.**Location and Working Pattern** Office-based in **Teesside** with site engagement as needed.**Client Overview** Our client delivers engineering and construction services for major infrastructure projects across multiple sectors, including Offshore Wind, Power & Renewables, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Defence, and Data Centres. They work in close partnership with their clients to provide proven solutions to some of the most complex engineering challenges.**Responsibilities*** Lead, manage, and develop the HR team, ensuring accountability for delivery.* Handle employee relations issues professionally, including disciplinary and grievance cases.* Partner with operational leaders on workforce planning across multiple projects.* Design and implement proportionate HR policies and procedures to support business needs.* Oversee recruitment and resourcing for office and project-based teams.* Manage pay, terms and conditions for site staff, including application of NAECI where relevant.* Drive employee engagement, culture, and retention initiatives.* Ensure compliance with employment legislation and support HSQE on people-related matters.* Report on HR metrics, workforce risk, and trends to the senior leadership team.**Must-have Requirements*** Proven HR management experience within engineering, construction, or a similar sector.* Strong working knowledge of UK employment law.* Confidence to manage employee relations cases effectively.* Previous experience managing and developing a team.* Ability to communicate assertively and influence stakeholders at all levels.* Track record of implementing practical HR policy suitable for a growing business.**Nice-to-have Skills*** Familiarity with the NAECI (National Agreement for the Engineering Construction Industry).* CIPD qualification or equivalent.* Experience supporting a mobile or site-based workforce.**Apply Now** If you're ready to take ownership of HR in a growing engineering business and make a real impact, **apply today** to join as our new HR Manager.The NRL Group connect global companies with the right people to bring engineering projects to life.
