Summary We’re looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager to take day-to-day responsibility for the site delivery of civil engineering works on a major construction scheme in Enfield. This is a key role for someone with a solid background in civils who can manage site activities efficiently, ensuring safety, quality, and programme requirements are consistently achieved. Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all on-site civil works, supervising teams and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards at all times
- Monitor construction progress against programme and implement corrective action when necessary
- Oversee quality control processes and ensure works meet specification and contractual requirements
- Manage site logistics, resources, and plant to maintain productivity and schedule
- Provide regular updates, reports, and site documentation for project leadership
- Support risk management and drive continuous improvement across site operations
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Site Manager within civil engineering projects
- Proven ability to lead site teams and subcontractors safely and effectively
- Strong knowledge of groundworks, structures, and associated civil works
- SMSTS certification and relevant health & safety qualifications
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with a proactive approach
