Responsibilities
- Develop and manage commercial strategy for assigned projects, ensuring robust risk control and accurate financial reporting
- Oversee procurement, subcontract negotiations, and the management of contractual relationships
- Ensure all commercial activities comply with contract terms and company governance requirements
- Lead cost planning, forecasting, and value engineering to maximise profitability
- Provide clear commercial advice and reports to senior stakeholders and project teams
- Identify opportunities and manage risks to protect or enhance project outcomes
- Mentor and support the commercial team, driving best practice and high performance
Must-have Requirements
- Significant commercial management experience within construction or related sectors
- Strong knowledge of mainstream contract forms (e.g., NEC, JCT)
- Excellent financial control, reporting, and forecasting skills
- Proven leadership capability with the ability to build and manage high-performing teams
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills with experience of managing stakeholders at senior levels
