Our client has an opening for a Roadside Technology Engineer. This is a STAFF position. Location - Toddington Depot Service Area North Bound, Dunstable. Candidates MUST HAVE a background in installation or maintenance of electrical or electronic equipment. Salary negotiable depending on experience plus CAR. Overtime available. Variable shift pattern - Ad hoc weekends and nights.
Job Role
- Carry out installation, maintenance, and commissioning works on a variety of Highways Roadside Technology Equipment, working with the Ringway team and specialist subcontractors.
- Ensure all safety, environmental, and quality obligations are met, while fulfilling the needs of clients and stakeholders.
Duties
- Work safely and promote a safe environment for all operations and personnel.
- Carry out installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities on all equipment.
- Undertake software, hardware, and systems testing.
- Adhere to Health and Safety procedures and produce required documentation.
- Support the Assistant Project Manager with planning and delivery of projects/tasks.
- Oversee operational teams and subcontractors on site to meet productivity and quality targets.
Person Specification
- Travel required across NH East contract sites.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Background in installation or maintenance of electrical/electronic equipment.
- ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electronic/Electrical Engineering.
- Previous registration/knowledge of HERS.
- Willingness to work roadside and at heights.
- Ability to undertake night work.
- Able to pass basic DBS checks.
