This is an opportunity for a developing Project Controls Engineer to join one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes — Hinkley Point C. You’ll work within an established Project Controls team, gaining hands‑on experience across cost, schedule and performance reporting on a true mega‑project.
If you already have solid foundations in Project Controls and want to build depth, confidence and project exposure, this role is designed to help you do exactly that.
The RoleYou’ll support the delivery of integrated Project Controls across defined areas of the HPC project, working closely with senior Project Controls professionals to produce accurate forecasts, meaningful reports and clear performance insight. This role offers strong development potential, exposure to industry‑leading systems, and the chance to grow your capability in a highly regulated project environment.
What You’ll Be Doing- Maintaining accurate cost, schedule and forecast data aligned to CBS/WBS structures
- Updating and managing data within Project Controls systems such as Ecosys and Primavera P6
- Producing regular Project Controls reports, including clear commentary on performance, risks and trends
- Supporting trend, change and performance analysis to aid decision‑making
- Providing analytical support to Project Controls Managers and Senior Engineers
- Working collaboratively with delivery teams to ensure consistent, high‑quality controls information
- Experience in a Project Controls, Cost Control, or Project Controls Analyst role
- A good working understanding of project controls principles and methodologies
- Exposure to controls tools and reporting systems (e.g. Ecosys, P6 or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working with data
- An analytical mindset with the ability to explain complex information simply
- Organised, proactive, and keen to continue developing within Project Controls
- Comfortable working as part of a wider, multi‑disciplinary project team
- HND or equivalent in Project Controls, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
- A clear step up from entry‑level or analyst positions
- Permanent role on a career‑defining nuclear programme
- Hybrid working with a Bridgwater base
- Strong exposure to industry‑leading tools, processes and senior stakeholders
