We are seeking experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Advisors to join the team on a major new build nuclear power station project. This is a pivotal role ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards across multiple work packages on site. Our client is a tier 1 contractor on site, entrusted with completing a large portion of the construction of the power station.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and monitor EHS compliance across diverse work packages.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams on EHS best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project EHS objectives.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an EHS Advisor in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects (nuclear experience highly desirable).
- Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure, safety-critical environment.
- Ability to go through nuclear clearance, including DBS checks.
Working pattern
- 50 hrs per week
- 10 days on, 4 days off
- Park and ride system to site
