Weโ€™re looking for an Assistant Contracts Surveyor to support the commercial team on a major construction scheme in Luton. This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career, or with relevant academic qualifications, to gain hands-on experience and develop expertise within a professional, supportive environment. Our client is a well-respected construction organisation recognised for successfully delivering projects across multiple sectors, with an emphasis on safety, quality, and commercial excellence.



Responsibilities



  • Assist in administering subcontracts, including preparation and processing of payments

  • Support cost tracking, reporting, and forecasting activities

  • Help to prepare valuations and applications for payment

  • Collate and maintain accurate commercial records and documentation

  • Contribute to the preparation of tender and procurement documents

  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams to support smooth delivery

  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and company procedures



Must-have Requirements



  • Degree, HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline, or relevant experience

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills

  • Familiarity with NEC/JCT contracts advantageous

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard IT systems

  • Eager to learn and progress within a commercial team
