Contract Type: Full-Time, Site-Based
Start Date: 26th August 2025
Duration: 6-month rolling contract (part of a 2-year project)
Overview: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Man / Labourer to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting daily site operations, maintaining welfare facilities, managing deliveries, and assisting with general housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of welfare facilities, including generators
Receive and escort deliveries on site
General housekeeping and site tidiness
Assist the site management team with daily tasks
Follow all health, safety, quality, and environmental policies (HSQE)
Carry out additional duties as instructed by site managementWorking Hours
50 hours per week
– Monday to Friday: 10-hour shifts
– Occasional weekend work may be required

Pay Rates:
£15/hour – Monday to Friday
£18.75/hour – Saturday
£21/hour – SundayEssential Requirements:
Full UK Driving Licence
Valid CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport
Physically fit and able to work outdoors on uneven terrain for extended periods
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
Ability to organise own travel and accommodationDesirable Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience working on substation or construction sites
National Grid Persons qualification
CPCS Vehicle Banksman ticketPhysical & Cognitive Requirements:
Ability to walk, stand, and lift items (up to 10 lbs) for extended periods
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and making sound decisions
Able to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
