Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager Location: West Cumbria Opportunity for contract or salary. We are looking for an experienced quantity surveyor to take ownership of the financial and commercial management of assigned engineering projects. This role includes maximising profitability and cash flow and overseeing valuations. You will be working for an esteemed engineering business in West Cumbria. The business is dedicated to meeting high standards and are looking for a hard working individual to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities Manage day to day commercial activities on assigned projects. Maximise project profitability. Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities. Maintain strong relationships with clients and the supply chain, ensuring a professional level of communication is always met. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance with company procedures and integrated project delivery. Providing commercial support to maximise the performance on all projects Provide Senior commercial support and development of junior members of the team Requirements Proven experience in commercial management within the engineering or construction sector. Strong financial reporting, cost forecasting and valuation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
