Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee works on substation projects across Scotland. This role is well-suited to professionals with a strong background in transmission and distribution who enjoy managing site activities and ensuring project success.

Salary

£450–£550 per day CIS

Location and Working Pattern

Various locations across Scotland with site-based work required.

Client Overview

Our client is a leading provider in the Transmissionand Distribution sector, delivering projects that are key to maintaining and improving network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site operations on substation projects
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Coordinate subcontractors and site personnel to maintain productivity
  • Plan and monitor project schedules and milestonesMaintain accurate site documentation and reporting
  • Liaise with project teams to resolve technical or operational issues
  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure quality standards are met

Must-have Requirements

  • Valid SPEN authorisations for substation work
  • SMSTS certification
  • Proven experience managing substation projects
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders professionally

Nice-to-have Skills

  • Experience with National Grid or DNO projects
  • First Aid qualification
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations
