This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced OT\u00a0Cybersecurity professional who thrives on solving safety‑critical challenges and guiding complex, regulated transformation programmes. You’ll be working within a world‑leading nuclear environment, ensuring digital resilience across industrial control systems.
Location and Working Pattern
This role is on-site at AWE, Reading. Given the level of clearance required, on-site presence is essential to meet project and security requirements.
Client Overview
Our client is a leading organisation operating in the nuclear and defence sectors, delivering vital national security programmes supported by advanced engineering and cyber expertise.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of secure OT/ICS cybersecurity architectures.
- Conduct and oversee cybersecurity risk assessments and assurance activities.
- Apply industry and regulatory standards, including IEC\u00a062443, NCSC\u00a0CAF, NIS Regulations, and ONR Security Assessment Principles.
- Support security accreditation processes and liaise with regulators and senior stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership across OT cybersecurity initiatives.
- Contribute to bids, solution development, and client relationship growth across CNI, nuclear, and defence sectors.
Must-have Requirements
- Significant experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity, architecture, and risk management.
- Expert understanding of IEC\u00a062443, NCSC\u00a0CAF, NIS Regulations, and ONR SAPs.
- Proven background within safety-critical, regulated, or high-hazard environments.
- Demonstrable consulting experience with strong client-facing and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Active UK\u00a0DV\u00a0clearance (essential).
Nice-to-have Skills
- Recognised certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GICSP.
