About the Opportunity: NRL is hiring a Principle Electrical Design Engineer on behalf of a leading client in Stockton. This is a great opportunity to join a high-impact, multi-disciplinary team working across nuclear, chemical, and pharmaceutical sectors. What You Could Have: Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering. 15+ years’ experience in engineering design within regulated industries. Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (or equivalent experience). Strong understanding of British Standards and low voltage systems. Experience validating vendor designs (MV/LV transformers, GI/GNI systems). Proficiency in design software (e.g., Amtech, Dialux, SKM Power Tools). Strong documentation, leadership, and client-facing communication skills. What You’ll Be Doing: Lead LVAC electrical design and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Produce and review key engineering deliverables (calculations, reports, drawings). Guide and check work from engineering team members. Validate vendor designs and support FAT stages. Collaborate with other disciplines and manage project schedules. Provide expert advice to deliver efficient and safe engineering solutions.
