NRL is currently recruiting for a Contract Project Manager (Plant Integration) position in Suffolk.
Location: Suffolk
Hours per week: 40 hours
Responsibilities:
- Oversee execution of PI services within the NSA contract.
- Manage Early Warnings, risks, Compensation Events and Variations with the NSA Commercial team.
- Challenge scope, assess value, and act as gatekeeper for Task Orders and change requests.
- Escalate commercial or delivery issues appropriately.
- Own end‑to‑end PI scope within the NSA team, ensuring deliverables meet contract requirements across: replication and configuration, 3D model strategy and updates, data/tools integration (CTS, Switch, etc.), engineering product integration.
- Ensure SZC provides timely inputs and performs review/acceptance activities.
- Maintain consistency of PI scope across Engineering Integration, Delivery Programmes and related contracts.
- Build strong relationships with Engineering Integration and Contractor discipline leads.
- Act as trusted contractual counterpart to the NSA Contractor.
- Interface across Technical Directorate, Programme Engineering Managers and Nuclear Services teams.
- Represent NSA in relevant forums and reviews.
- Report technical, financial and schedule performance for PI scope.
- Capture and communicate impacts to baselines and budgets.
- Contribute to SZC monthly reporting and reinforce NSA obligations where needed.
Requirements:
- Experience on major infrastructure projects (nuclear preferred).
- Strong contract management capability and familiarity with technical governance.
- Ability to resolve complex technical/contractual issues and operate across multiple workstreams.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
- Proactive, adaptable, able to work independently or in a matrix team.
- Strong IT and MS Office skills.
- Degree in Engineering or Science (essential).
- Desirable: PMI or equivalent project management qualification.
- Knowledge of nuclear standards, EPR design, configuration management and digital modelling tools.
- Understanding of major project commercial processes.
- French language skills beneficial.
- Experience on HPC advantageous.
- Experience in design/manufacturing/installation contract procurement.
- Chartered or working towards chartership.
