Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of commercial and contractual management across multiple work packages
  • Prepare and negotiate subcontract agreements, variations, and claims
  • Produce detailed cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections
  • Monitor and control project costs against budget, identifying potential risks and opportunities
  • Oversee valuations, progress payments, and final account settlements
  • Ensure strict compliance with contractual terms and relevant legislation
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior surveyors within the commercial team

Must-have Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Contract Surveyor, ideally in a senior capacity
  • Proven track record in managing financial and contractual aspects of large-scale projects
  • Working knowledge of NEC and JCT contract forms
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on risk management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
