We are currently recruiting for an experienced and proactive People Partner to join a busy People & Culture team on a temporary contract for approximately 4 months. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with strong employee relations experience to support managers across a diverse organisation, providing expert guidance on a wide range of people matters while helping to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a professional and customer focused HR partnering service across designated business areas.
- Advise and coach managers on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance issues.
- Manage a varied ER caseload, ensuring timely and consistent resolutions.
- Support and lead investigations, hearings and formal meetings where required.
- Build effective working relationships with managers, colleagues and trade union representatives.
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and best practice initiatives.
- Contribute to wider People & Culture projects and continuous improvement activity.
About You
- Significant experience managing complex employee relations cases.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience working collaboratively with trade unions and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and manage competing demands.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and HR systems.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent relevant HR experience.
