Are you an experienced HR professional who wants your work to make a genuine impact? We are partnering with a highly respected, innovative charitable foundation within the education and care sector. They are looking for a strategic and empathetic HR Business Partner to join their inclusive and high performing team. In this purpose led role, you will partner directly with service leaders to drive forward strategic aims, champion an inclusive culture, and provide expert HR guidance. If you have a background in the education or care sector and a strong understanding of safeguarding, this is a fantastic opportunity to help shape a workforce dedicated to empowering others.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Strategic Partnering: Build collaborative relationships with foundation leaders to develop workforce plans, resolve complex people issues, and drive organisational change (including restructures, TUPE, and redundancies).
  • Employee Relations & Engagement: Lead on complex ER cases, proactive absence management, and champion Equality, Diversity, Inclusion (EDI), and wellbeing initiatives across your business areas.
  • Team Leadership: Line manage, mentor, and develop a small, dedicated team of Assistant HRBPs and HR Assistants.
  • Safer Recruitment & L&D: Oversee end-to-end recruitment (particularly for leadership roles) ensuring strict adherence to Safer Recruitment policies. Partner with L&D to design and deliver management training.
  • Policy & Compliance: Support the Head of HR in reviewing and developing policies, ensuring full compliance with UK employment law, ACAS codes of practice, and safeguarding standards.

What We Are Looking For

  • Ideally Sector Expertise: Proven HR experience within a relevant setting such as education (schools/colleges), care, or the charity sector.
  • Safeguarding Knowledge: A strong understanding of safer recruitment practices and how safeguarding standards intersect with HR processes.
  • HR Qualifications: CIPD Level 5 qualified as a minimum, with Chartered Membership highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law with a track record of managing complex ER cases and leading change management projects.
  • Communication & Influence: Exceptional ability to coach managers, communicate sensitive information, and influence key stakeholders (including Trade Unions).
