An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Operations Manager to join a growing, values driven organisation. Reporting into senior leadership, you will play a key role in ensuring workplaces are safe, welcoming, efficient, and aligned with organisational standards. Key Responsibilities
- Workplace Operations
- Oversee the smooth running of workplace operations across multiple sites.
- Create and maintain welcoming, efficient, and well-supported working environments.
- Support workplace activities including onboarding, internal events, and day-to-day office operations.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance the employee and visitor experience.
- Health & Safety
- Take ownership of health & safety across the organisation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and drive a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on health & safety matters.
- Supplier & Property Management
- Manage relationships with workplace, facilities, and property suppliers.
- Monitor service performance and ensure high standards are maintained.
- Negotiate and manage contracts to deliver value for money and quality service.
- Oversee the management of office hubs and external workplace facilities.
- Governance & Compliance
- Ensure workplace activities align with quality, environmental, and information security standards.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain effective operational processes and procedures.
- Budget Management
- Manage workplace-related budgets and expenditure.
- Balance cost control with service quality and sustainability objectives.
- Work closely with finance teams to support forecasting and budget planning.
- Leadership
- Lead, support, and develop a small workplace operations team.
- Build strong relationships across the organisation.
- Act as a trusted operational partner to stakeholders at all levels.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Experience in workplace, facilities, or business operations management, ideally across multiple locations.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing suppliers, contracts, and service delivery.
- Budget management and cost-control experience.
- A practical, proactive, and solutions-focused approach.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Previous people management or team leadership experience.
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification, or willingness to obtain it.
