We are working with an innovative and growing energy organisation in the North West to appoint a Quality & Environmental Lead. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and driven professional to play a key role in the ongoing development and maintenance of an integrated management system aligned with BS EN ISO 9001 and BS EN ISO 14001.
Our client is known for its forward-thinking approach and commitment to sustainability. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the organisation’s Environmental and Quality Management System (EQMS), leading internal audits, preparing for external assessments, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and enhance quality and environmental documentation, procedures, and records.
- Plan and carry out internal audits, produce reports, and support corrective actions.
- Schedule and contribute to management reviews, preparing key input data.
- Manage external audit processes, acting as the primary contact for auditors.
- Provide ongoing support to teams in meeting compliance requirements.
- Contribute to supplier evaluation processes with a focus on sustainability and quality standards.
- Promote best practices and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Keep abreast of developments in relevant legislation and standards.
- Assist with quality and environmental responses for tenders and client requests.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and present trends.
- Organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- Practical experience in maintaining ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems within an SME environment.
- Internal auditor training or equivalent hands-on auditing experience.
- Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with additional standards such as ISO 14064, ISO 14068, PAS 2060, or ISO 27001.
