About the role
Location: Oldbury (office-based, 5 days per week)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Temporary until 31st March 2026 (possible extension)
Pay: £13.26 – £13.90 per hour (PAYE), depending on experience
We are recruiting a Business Support Officer to provide high-quality administrative support within a busy public sector environment. This is a full-time, office-based role requiring strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
Key Duties
- Updating and maintaining internal case management systems
- Ensuring accuracy and consistency of records and information
- Supporting operational staff with system updates and reporting requirements
- Managing incoming post, emails, and messages and escalating urgent matters
- Maintaining electronic files, including scanning and uploading documents
- Completing allocated tasks within agreed timescales
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative or business support role
- NVQ Level 1 in Business Administration (or equivalent)
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage diaries and prioritise workload
Desirable
- Experience using case management systems

- Standard DBS check required (issued within the last 12 months)
