About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded Motor Fleet Underwriter to join our dynamic Underwriting team. This is a key role responsible for writing profitable new business, retaining quality renewals, and contributing to the continued growth of our Motor Fleet portfolio. You’ll work confidently within delegated authority levels, apply sound technical judgement, and build strong, long-term broker relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and retain profitable Motor Fleet business in line with the clients strategy, pricing approach, and underwriting parameters.
- Conduct full risk reviews for new business and renewals, documenting rationale, pricing decisions, claims considerations, and any subjectivities.
- Take ownership of allocated Motor Fleet products and recommend pricing adjustments to maximise profitability.
- Build and maintain strong broker relationships through regular face-to-face meetings.
- Actively generate referrals, seek new opportunities, and raise profile within the marketplace.
- Make it easy to do business with through clear, timely, and solution-focused communication.
- Promote Clients successes and represent the brand confidently in market interactions.

Regulatory Requirements
You must adhere to FCA Conduct Rules, acting with integrity, due skill and care, treating customers fairly, and maintaining proper standards of market conduct.

Hours – 35 hours a week. Working 9-5 Monday – Friday
