My Client is looking for a proactive and commercially minded Business Development Manager to help them grow, strengthen broker relationships, and position them as a trusted partner across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with underwriting, operations, and sales teams, while representing at broker meetings, industry events, and networking forums nationwide.

What you'll be doing

  • Winning new business
  • Identify and develop new opportunities with brokers across target markets.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads to drive consistent growth in premiums and revenue.
  • Collaborate with underwriting to ensure proposals are aligned with appetite and deliver value to brokers.

About you

You're an experienced business development professional in the insurance or MGA market who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities, and turning them into growth. You don't just identify leads – you take ownership, work collaboratively, and see opportunities through to delivery. You're comfortable working strategically while staying close enough to the detail to understand what's really happening day to day. You'll bring strong experience managing broker relationships, with a solid understanding of insurance products, underwriting, delegated authority, and the broker market. You know how to balance commercial ambition with excellent service and a professional approach. You're confident engaging with brokers, presenting, negotiating, and influencing at all levels. You enjoy collaborating across underwriting, operations, and sales teams, and you're known for being pragmatic, approachable, and solutions-focused. Most importantly, you're motivated by relationships and results. You care about creating trust with brokers, delivering value for the business, and contributing to a culture where people and teams thrive. You're adaptable, resilient, and energised by new challenges and opportunities.

You'll likely bring:

  • Proven business development or broker management experience within an MGA, Lloyd's broker, or insurer.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting, and delegated authority.
